Robinson – Harrelson wed
Lacey Robinson and Mark Harrelson were married July 7 in Santorini, Greece.
Lacey is the daughter of Edward and Stevey Hinojosa of Terrell and Bill Robinson of Canton.
Mark is the son of DH and Raylene Parker of Center, Texas and Ken and Beth Harrelson of Center, Texas.
The wedding took place on the beautiful Greek Island of Santorini at sunset with the bride's brother Cody Robinson having the honor of presenting Lacey to Mark in marriage.
Stevey, Lacey's mother stood with her daughter as Matron of Honor.
The wedding was witnessed as well by Mark's mother Raylene Parker, Lacey's step-dad Edward Hinojosa and a family friend Becky Passmore.
Following the nuptials there was a dinner and celebration of fireworks in honor of the couple.
After spending a week in Crete Greece for their honeymoon they have returned to their home in Dallas.
Mark is a 1985 graduate of Timpson High School, Timpson Texas. Lacey is a 2000 graduate of South Garland High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas. [Click here for full story]

Horse care basics Saturday
The Kaufman County Cooperative Extension Office will be hosting a Basic Equine Education Program on Saturday, April 14, at the Kaufman County Fairgrounds just outside of Kaufman, South on Hwy 34.
The day will feature topics on basic safety, pasture and hay selection, basic horse nutrition, stalls and fencing, general health care, permanent identification of horse, and basic hoof care.
Dr. Brett Scott, equine specialist from Texas A&M University will be one of the special speakers for the day.
The programs will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. A concession stand will be available for the day sponsored by the Youth in Goverance group raising money to go to Washington, D.C.

Terrell couple celebrates fifth anniversary
Chris and Brandy Pearson of Terrell are celebrating 5 years of marriage April 5. They were married April 5th, 2002, at Terrell United Pentecostal Church. Brandy is a teacher in Terrell and Chris is a network representative at Aetna in Dallas. In the last 5 years, their daughter, Emma, arrived and has brought much joy. Recently, they received news of another baby on the way, due in October. In their spare time, Brandy enjoys teaching, reading and shopping and Chris enjoys playing the piano, singing in church and listening to music. In addition to an active family life, they are also very actively involved in church as youth pastors, as well as various other ministries.

NAMI meets Saturday, March 17
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Kaufman County will meet from 10:30 a.m until noon on Saturday, March 17 at Lakes Regional MHMR, Highway 34 at Airport Road, Terrell.
“We have many programs planned for 2007, ” said Emma Glenn, ent NAMI-Kaufman County president. “This year our monthly newsletters will be sent electronically. We invite all interested to become members of the Kaufman affiliate to be better informed regarding brain disorders.
The support meeting is for anyone who wants to fellowship with those who share similar situations, such as parents, siblings, spouse and significant others, teenager and adult children of persons with severe and persistent brain disorders.
Individuals with brain disorders are encouraged to attend.

Divorce seminar set
Kaufman County Legal Aid hosts a seminar on the third Friday of the month for those who want to file for divorce themselves.
March's seminar is at 1:20 p.m. March 16 at the Kaufman County Library.
Participants will recieve information about how to file and a packet of forms.
