Julie Sanchez and Robert Maylee will wed Aug. 15 at First Baptist Church of Forney.

Ms. Sanchez, 23, and Mr. Maylee, 23, met while students at Sam Houston State University. They graduated in May. Her degree is in art and his in marketing.

The couple will travel to Costa Rica for their honeymoon and will live in Richardson.

Her parents are Joan Richards of Forney and George Sanchez of Dallas. His parents are Kristine and Phillip Maylee.

Her sisters, Joyce and Jackie Sanchez, will serve as bridesmaids. John Maylee, the groom’s brother, will be best man and the groom’s nephew, Austin Maylee, will be a groomsman.

The reception, with a Southwestern theme, will follow at her parents home. The backyard will be decorated with Texas stars, barbed wire garland and cutouts of cows. The wedding cake will be four-tiers with rolled icing decorated with red and blue flowers. The groom’s cake will be chocolate garnished by sugar fruit.
