Danny and Michelle Kessner have been overwhelmed by their daughter, Hannah’s, birth defect. And they’ve been struggling with the medical bills.
Several Forney groups are turning out Saturday to help with the money.
Chick-Fil-A at Mustang Crossing will donate a portion of their proceeds Saturday, May 31 to Hannah’s family. Diners must ask that your receipt be credited to the Kessner fundraiser.
And participants in the Twenty Peaceful Minutes Web site will hold a bake sale at the Celebration of Youth Sports at Mustang Crossing Shopping Center, Highway 80 and 548, from 2 to 8 p.m.
And Premier Sports hosted a dodgeball tournament May 24.
Mrs. Kessner is an employee at Forney National Bank and a fund for Hannah has been started there.
Hannah has been diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, a condition were a lower part of the brain sinks out of the skull onto the spinal cord.
The family has insurance but treatment, often involving surgery, is expenses. She was only recently diagnosed and the family already faces $7,000 in out-of-pocket expenses.
