Scurry-Rosser 4-H to meet
The Scurry-Rosser 4-H will meet at Scurry-Rosser Middle School on Monday January 28th at 6:30 p.m.
Planning will continue for the Scurry- Rosser Parents and Friends annual dinner and auction at 5 p.m. Feb. 23 at Scurry-Rosser High School.

Santa was the guest of honor at the Christmas tree lighting in Rosser Saturday night. The annual event began at 6:00 p.m. in the city park and continued at the fire station with hot chocolate and cookies.

Davis named parade grand marshall
Albert Davis, a former Rosser mayor, along with his wife, was named Grand Marshall of the Rosser annual 4th of July Parade. About 450 attended the parade. Mayor Shannon Corder and City Secretary Nancy Upchurch helped coordinate the parade and declared it a success.

It wasn’t your usual auction. The pig was bought and then given back then bought, again and again. When the gavel finally came down for the last time, Dalton Blazek’s pig brought in $11,500. A community’s donation to his medical bills.

Chili supper set for Rosser Volunteer Department
The Rosser Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual chili supper beginning at 5: 30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at the fire department. The fundraiser will help purchase equipment.
