Time to donate blood
Spring is a good time to save lives by giving blood. Carter Blood Care will hold two neighborhood mobile blood drives in Kaufman County in the next two weeks.

Saturday, May 3rd – 8:15 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Fellowship Baptist Church, 413 Pinson Road, Forney

Help with diabetes
Kaufman County has a higher than average number of people with diabetes, health care officials say. The Kaufman County Extension Service is offering help. A four-week series for diabetics, Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes, begins Thursday, March 6.

Dianna Roberts’ father was on hospice in 1997. She was so impressed with the care he received that Dianna went to work for the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Kaufman County. Dianna has been a home health aide there for nearly five years, providing in-home care to the frail elderly and disabled in a three-county area.
