Crandall breaks even in TAKS scores
Crandall schools maintained its high achievement on the statewide TAKS test this year. More than a quarter of students in each category were commended for their high performance. Overall, 13 categories were up and 13 showed lower scores. However, the differences were, for the most part, slight.

Crandall school board election not settled Saturday
None of the three candidates in the Crandall school district’s Place 6 election received more than 50 percent of the vote. School district officials busily investigated whether a run-off was needed. They concluded that the results stand.
