Foreclosures down from last month
Kaufman County foreclosures posted for July dropped almost 20 percent from June, but were up substantially from a year ago, according to Roddy Reports, a Texas company that tracks the data.
Kaufman trails surrounding counties, including Rockwall and Ellis, in the actual properties being foreclosed.
The county leads the region in the increase in percentages of foreclosures through this time last year – up 45 percent. But that number can be misleading because of the relatively low number of foreclosures.
The numbers represent homes, townhouses and condos posted for sale in July as foreclosures.
