The Cowboy Ain’t Dead Yet, a one-man musical comedy, headlines the second annual Healing Heart Ministry benefit at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27.
R. J. Vandygriff says the cowboy ain’t dying and shares the cowboy tradition through songs, stories and poems of the West.
Country Christian singer Susie McEntire Luchsinger will share her faith through song. She has been named Christian Country Artist of the Year four times.
And Terrell’s Mary Clemons-Mann will round out the show.
Ms. Clemons-Mann is one of the founders of Healing Heart Ministry that helps women out of domestic abuse situations.
The organization is raising money for a home for women and their children that can be used to escape abusive situations. Kaufman County does not have such a shelter and needs one as it grows.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Tickets are on sale at the Healing Hearts office in Terrell or Farmer’s Insurance in Terrell. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at the Terrell Performing Arts Center, 400 Poetry Road, and the show begins at 6:30 p.m.
