Working on a phone tip, Kaufman County sheriff’s deputies found a working meth lab and three children at a home in Combine last week.
Deputies went to the home in the 1500 block of Davis Road looking for stolen property. But as they went up to the house they smelled ammonia, commonly used to make methamphetamines.
The house is in the Dallas County portion of combine and a Dallas County judge issued a search warrant.
Kaufman deputies, Dallas County deputies and DEA agents then returned to the home and found a working meth lab which the DEA dismantled.
Child Protective Services took three children into custody.
Four suspects are sought in connection with the lab.
