| Suspect in Shell robbery |
Surveillance photos of three suspects in the robbery of a Shell station just east of Kaufman are not as clear, still deputies hope they will lead to identifications. They believe the same men may have been involved in a similar robbery in Ellis County.
About 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 11 three armed men entered the Shell station at 3701 State Highway 243. They pushed their way in as the attendant opened the door for a milk delivery man.
One suspect pointed a gun at the deliveryman and forced him to lie on the floor while another suspect taped the hands and feet of the gas station attendant.
A third suspect went to the store’s office and kicked open the door.
The three men took several thousand dollars worth of property including lottery tickets, a laptop computer, $5000 in checks written to the gas station, the store manager’s shot gun and the cash register drawer.
Deputies believe the robbery might be related to another armed robbery that occurred in Palmer in Ellis County. It’s possible the men may be targeting location is rural areas.
