Anne and Diane Bishop of Trietsch United Methodist Church of Flower Mound headed to a mission trip to Mozambique in 2006 and founded an unusual business. They worked with local women to start the Seeds of Hope Project. The African women formed Irmas Unidas de Chicuque — Chicuque Sisters Together — a small company to make jewelry and send it to the Bishops. The Bishops, in turn, promote and sell the jewelry, creating an ongoing income for the women.

The Greater Kaufman Rotary Club is sponsoring a luncheon featuring the jewelry from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, May 5 at Maples Hall on the Kaufman Square. Tickets are $8.
