Eunice Ausburn, 96, formerly of Dallas, passed away April 30, 2008.
Eunice was born Feb. 28, 1912 in Celeste, Texas to Francis Daniel (Dock) and Nancy Mimmie (Roland) Burke, both of whom preceded her in death. Eunice was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Richard Ausburn in 1999.
Eunice was a devoted wife and mother and was instrumental in building several area Dallas churches with her husband. Some of the churches were Word Street Baptist, Live Oak Baptist and Grace Baptist Church.
After retiring to the Terrell area, Rev. Ausburn became pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church where Eunice was once again by his side helping both her husband and the church family.
Eunice is survived by her son, Garrison Ausburn of Commerce, brother-in-law, Charles Ausburn, sister-in-law, Gladys Stapp as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who could all call her “Aunt Eunice”.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm, May 3, 2008, at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Texas. The family will receive friends Friday, May 2, 2008 at Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Terrell, Texas.
