James Frank Reames Sr.

James Frank Reames Sr. of Dallas, TX passed away on April 12, 2008 in Dallas, TX.

He was born on June 15, 1940 in Forney, TX to Oliver and Susie (Darr) Reames. After graduating from Forney High School, James worked for 43 years at Weir’s furniture in Dallas, TX. He married Lavonne Speight on July 25, 1963 in Mesquite, TX.

James is preceded in death by his father Oliver Clyde Reames. He is survived by his wife Lavonne Reames; two daughters and sons-in-laws, Kathy and James Hatley of Forney, TX; Elizabeth and Brent Rice of Princeton, TX; one son James Reames Jr. of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren Jamie and Jared Hatley of Forney, TX and his mother Susie Reames of Mesquite, TX; three brothers; and sister-in-laws; Billy Ray and Gayle Reames of Lewisville, TX, Tommy and Regina Reames of Dallas, TX, Jimmy Don and Brenda Reames of Mesquite, TX and one sister; Peggy Banister of Mesquite, TX.

Services for James Reames were held, April 16, 2008, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Forney. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney, Texas. Family visitation was Tuesday April 15, 2008 from 7-9 pm at the Anderson & Clayton Funeral Home in Forney.
