Noelle Morrow, R.N., brings 30 years of experience to her new post as director of women’s services at Presbyterian Hospital of Kaufman, effective this month.
Morrow’s extensive background includes decades of experience in labor and delivery, postpartum services, newborn nursery and the neonatal intensive care unit. Most recently, Morrow worked as a nurse on the labor and delivery unit and on the mother/baby unit at Medical Center of Terrell, where she was responsible for assessment and care of all mothers and infants. She was also responsible for the assessment and transfer of mothers and infants who required a higher level of care.
“We are pleased to welcome Noelle to our staff, and we look forward to the experience and dedication she brings to her work,” said Krista Baty, administrative director of inpatient services at Presbyterian Hospital of Kaufman.
Morrow began her career in 1978 as a nurse in the labor and delivery/newborn nursery units at Parkland Memorial Hospital. She spent two years at Parkland. From 1980 to 1990, Morrow worked at Terrell State Hospital, and also worked nights as a charge nurse at Terrell Community Hospital in the maternal/child department.
Morrow began working full time at Terrell Community Hospital in 1990, caring for women during all phases of childbirth. In 1998 she left Terrell for a five-year stint at Medical Center of Mesquite. Morrow then returned to Terrell Community Hospital, where she worked from 2003 through 2007.
“Most of my nursing career has been spent in small rural hospitals, and I enjoy the challenges they bring,” she said.
In addition to being a certified in neonatal resuscitation, Morrow has taken numerous courses on breastfeeding promotion and teaching, and she taught childbirth education classes for five years.
