I remember asking my dad what it felt like living during the Great Depression and not have any money. He looked at me and said, “Son, you really didn’t think much about it because nobody had any money!”

During those 1930 depression years banks would not allow a customer to withdraw more than 10% of their account at any given time. It didn’t matter how much money you had in the bank, you could only take 10% out at a time. The bottom line was that the banks didn’t have enough money to cover their deposits.

The Scriptures state that God has unfathomable riches on deposit for His customers and His heavenly financial institution has no limitation or restriction on withdrawals. We have no reason to be spiritually deprived, undernourished or impoverished. In fact the Bible says that God “is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think.” Our problem is that we “have not because we ask not.” Today why don’t you walk up to the window of God’s bank and make a withdrawal from His storehouse of riches?
